So, this is my first diary, and the heart of it is the following question:
Why did many of us recently lose the ability to rate comments and recommend diaries?
That's the main thing I want to know. But something else I've noticed leads me to don my tinfoil hat and ask:
Were all the people thus affected Obama supporters?
All the ones I've seen commenting on it so far have been. One claimed to have emailed Jonathan and gotten it fixed. I tried the same thing and no luck yet, but it's only been a few hours. It doesn't seem to be a mojo problem; I've only been TR'd once, and that was in a dispute where I felt someone else was engaging in ratings abuse and purity trolling (so he troll rated me, called me "cultish," and dismissed my opinion as motivated only by my blind devotion to Obama). Others have commented that their issue did not appear to be mojo-related, either. I certainly never received any warning message, and others in this situation have said the same thing. I want this to be some kind of glitch, and I've been arguing in the threads for the benefit of the doubt. But I just keep wondering, you know?
So, that brings us to a couple of more questions, and maybe we can figure this out.
Did it happen to you?
Do you openly support Obama?
Were you able to get it fixed, and if so, how?
